about us
- YOURpath for Adult Learners, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, has been dedicated to providing adult basic education services across the nation since 2018. We offer round-the-clock access to personalized online preparation courses for TABE, GED, and HiSET. These courses are designed to equip students with the necessary content knowledge and literacy/numeracy skills to secure their high school equivalency diploma via alternative state testing. For students who have successfully completed the program and earned their high school equivalency diploma, we provide “Next Step” and employment training services. These services are aimed at assisting students in various post-diploma pursuits, whether it be applying for college, enlisting in the military, seeking employment, advancing in their current job, or even starting their own business, full-time or part-time.
- The importance of our work cannot be overstated, not just for today, but also for the future. As of now, 43 million US adults have low literacy skills, and between 39 to 40 million lack a high school diploma (Ad Council, 2019; NCES, 2019). Statistics show that non-high school graduates face the highest unemployment rates and earn significantly less than their graduate counterparts over time (Department of Labor, 2021). These disparities lead to significant social disadvantages, including poor health conditions, high crime rates, and high poverty levels. They also contribute to a cycle of family dropouts, particularly in lower-income communities where the dropout rate and lack of basic skills are higher (All4Ed, 00:06:15-01:02:50). Therefore, our mission is not only relevant but also crucial in addressing these issues.

- Our mission is to ensure that every student in our program achieves their high school equivalency diploma by acquiring the content knowledge, literacy, and numeracy skills needed to demonstrate high school proficiency and college readiness. It is also to ensure that our students have access to resources for advanced learning and employment/career opportunities upon attaining their high school equivalency diploma.
